Learn from the Expert; Mandy Jones-Fischer, LCSW, RPT, JD Pre-requisite: Level One/Group Theraplay | All Members: $15 In this presentation of Watching the Experts, Mandy Jones-Fischer will share a recorded session from her work with a 3-year-old boy, the biological child in a two-parent household who is adjusting to becoming a big brother. The family has recently welcomed a new baby, and he is experiencing challenges with listening, following directions, and managing tantrums when situations don’t go his way. Mandy will present the third Theraplay session in their treatment.
Attendees will gain insight into developmentally responsive approaches, engagement strategies with early childhood populations, and ways to attune to preverbal or emerging verbal communication. A brief discussion will follow to explore observations, interventions, and opportunities for clinical growth.
