Level Two Theraplay & MIMThree Day Training | In-Person | Trainer: Virginie Vandenbroucke
This training focuses on three main areas of content: deepening your skills in administering and interpreting the MIM, Theraplay®'s proprietary assessment tool; working with parents, particularly in initiation and feedback sessions; and adapting the Theraplay® model to work with trauma and complex families. The training includes in-depth application of Theraplay®'s core concepts and current research to concrete cases, a more thorough analysis of the MIM by dimension, and observation and analysis of the MIM using real-life cases. Participants will also learn to better plan play therapy treatments by organizing feedback sessions with parents. Access to Level 2 requires that the trainee has already completed Level 1 and begun practicing Theraplay©. It is strongly recommended that they have also started supervision sessions or enrolled in the certification program; having completed the elementary level is ideal. Furthermore, Level 2 is a prerequisite for obtaining the intermediate and final certification levels. Trainees are strongly encouraged to read "Theraplay© The Therapist's Guide" by Vivien Norris and Phyllis Booth, translated by Catherine Clément and published by "Deboeck", and to question their practice regarding the development of work with parents and the use they already make of MIM.
