Brainspotting (BSP), or the Neuroexperiential model of BSP, is a neurobiologically-based therapeutic approach that allows access to profound emotional experiences through eye positioning. Developed by David Grand, PhD., BSP works with the subcortical brains, where memories and emotional responses are stored beyond consciousness.
This talk provides an accessible introduction to the fundamental principles of Brainspotting, exploring how it is used in clinical practice for emotional regulation and trauma processing. Additionally, we will briefly explore its integration with other therapeutic approaches, such as Theraplay, and engage in an experience to help participants sense how eye position influences internal perception.
